About Me

In the course of my evolution as a Massage Therapist I have come to understand that "IT DOESN'T HAVE TO HURT TO BE EFFECTIVE"!   In my earlier years of practice I focused on the "deep from the outside in" approaches (Neuromuscular Therapy and other Deep Tissue techniques). In the last 20 years, I have come to realize that "deep from the inside out" (working with a focus on interacting with the nervous system) approaches are the most effective in changing dysfunctional patterns.  With 6 years of experience as a Dentist and 30 years as a professional Massage Therapist, I have melded my scientific background with my study of holistic approaches in a uniquely effective way.  Initially trained at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, I have taken hundreds of hours in Continuing Education.  The result is a comprehensive and dynamically blended system.  A session with me is a custom-designed event, based upon the needs and preferences of each client.

Highlights of my Continuing Education courses:  Geriatric Massage,  Lymphatic Drainage,  Reiki (Master Level/Teacher),  Integrative Massage,  Ortho-Bionomy,  Craniosacral,  The Trager Approach,  TMJ,  Hot Stone Massage, and Neural Reset Therapy.

During my 30 years as a Massage Therapist I have worked with M.D.s, D.O.s, Chiropractors and Physical Therapists (including the Pain Management Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado).  I have been an Instructor at the Colorado Springs Academy of Therapeutic Massage. And I have been Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork since 1993.  My commitment to my clients is deep, as is my gratitude for the opportunity to facilitate positive change.
